Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home, in strategic partnership with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), proudly announces the commencement of a landmark water project involving the drilling and installation of 78 solar-powered boreholes across 10 states in Nigeria.
This initiative aims to alleviate acute water scarcity affecting thousands of vulnerable individuals, particularly in underserved and rural communities. With funding and technical support from KSrelief, each borehole will be equipped with solar-powered pumps, elevated storage tanks, and public tap stands to ensure sustainable access to safe and clean water.

Farid Abdulrazzaq Salman, Chief Operating Officer of Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home. “Clean water is life. By reaching communities across 10 states, we are delivering not just water—but health, dignity, and hope.”
The project will cover a diverse range of locations, with careful attention given to communities with the greatest need. The solar-powered systems offer a reliable and environmentally friendly solution, designed to ensure long-term water supply with minimal maintenance.
This project further solidifies the longstanding partnership between Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home and KSrelief. It follows previous successful collaborations in areas such as orphan welfare, food security, vocational training, and the construction of community infrastructure.
Implementation activities have been prepared and mobilization is underway. Local stakeholders, including traditional leaders and community-based organizations, are actively engaged to ensure transparency, community ownership, and long-term sustainability.
