Provision of Relief Materials for Disabled Persons

It is our moral duty as human beings to respect others with physical problems, we should not see them as lesser humans as they are created the same way Allah created us. At the Home we provide relief materials to about 600 people every year.

Health Service Program for Non-Muslims

The Home is an Islamic NGO, but we strongly believe in the spirit of unity and co-existing which is based on the teachings of the prophet (SAW) who said, “All of humanity is the family of God’, Muhammad declared, ‘and the most beloved to God is the one who is of most benefit to His children”. In that spirit we at the Home, we disburse a certain amount of money on a yearly bases to people in need of health care across 10 states in Nigeria.

Empowerment Program for Women

Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “The person who strives on behalf of the widows and poor is like those who strive in the way of Allah and like those who fast in the day and pray at night.” We at the home as our principles are based on the teachings of the prophet, we provide equipment for widows and orphans of age every year for them to be able to make a living.

Orphanage Program

Sponsoring an orphan is one of the righteous deeds which Islam encourages us to do and tells us are among the means of entering Paradise, and indeed of attaining the highest positions therein. There is sufficient encouragement for the believer to do these actions in the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two” – and he gestured with his forefinger and middle finger, holding them apart. (Al-Bukhaari, 5304) At Abibakr as-sidiq, we provide funds for orphans on a yearly basis for them to get education and every other thing they need.

Proposed Orphanage Home

We at the Home in collaboration with other international charity organisations will be building Orphanage homes in some West African Cities. We care about the well-being of orphans, because it is part of the teachings of the messenger of Allah to look after orphans. Our plan is to establish an Orphanage Home in 25 States out of the 36 States in Nigeria including other Cities in West Africa i.e. Lomé in the Republic of Togo, Cotonou in the Republic Benin, Banjul Gambia, Conakry in the Republic of Guinea, Niamey in the Republic of Niger, Ouagadougou Burkina Faso and Dakar Senegal. This is a massive project we are looking to embark on. In other to be able to achieve the full potential of this program, we welcome donations and other forms of support from all parts of the world.

Emergency & Relief program

This program is one of the areas where help is being needed the most in Nigeria and West Africa. So many unforeseen and unwanted events have been happening i.e. Boko Haram insurgency in the north-east of Nigeria, Bandit attacks in states like Zamfara and Katsina, kidnapping of People from villages and other attacks on Nigeria citizens. These events brought about the rise of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and also the creation of Refugee camps. The victims of the events need the help of everybody. We at Abibakr as-sidiq philanthropic home in collaboration with World Muslim Congress are trying our best to deliver relief materials such as mosquito nets, camp tents, food stuffs, medicine, provision of borehole water and so many other things, to the victims in the IDP camps.

Proposed Islamic Centre for Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home

The Home has proposed to build its own central mosque in the city of Ilorin Kwara State Nigeria. This mosque will be a world standard mosque which will have spectacular architectural design. The mosque would also have its own madrasa where Muslim children would come daily to learn and memorise the Qur’an. The Mosque will be a study centre for new comers of the faith to come and learn about the Islamic faith, about the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, learn how to read it and pronounce. Ilorin happens to be one of the cities in Nigeria that protect the creed of Islam, in other for the view not to change, we intend to give the city a more Holistic view. This will be a massive project for the Home. In other to achieve this, the home will welcome donations from all over the world. The proposed cost of this project will be between $650,000-$800,000. Support us by donating to reach this amount.
